One editor, start to finish
Most background removers stop at the transparent PNG. Here that is the first step: once the subject is free you can try it against a dozen colours, move it, give it a soft shadow and crop the frame for a profile picture, a story or a slide, all without leaving the page.
- Backdrop: twelve colours plus a colour picker, six gradients with any angle, five studio textures, a blur of your original photo, or your own picture.
- Subject: drag to move, resize from 10% to 300%, flip, add a contact or drop shadow, soften the edge.
- Frame: keep the original shape or switch to 1:1, 4:5, 9:16 or 16:9; the subject is refitted for you.
- Undo everything: every change can be undone and redone, and the Before slider shows the original right on the canvas.

Is it really free?
Yes. There is no sign-up, no credits and no watermark, and the download keeps the full resolution of your photo up to 4096 px.
Which photos work best?
Anything with a clear main subject: a person, a pet, a product, a car. Busy scenes with several people work too, but the cut-out picks what looks like the main subject.
Can I put the subject on a new background?
That is what the Backdrop tab is for: colours, gradients, studio textures, a blurred copy of the original, or a second photo of your own.
Is my photo uploaded?
Once, for the AI cut-out. Our server returns the mask and drops the image. Backdrops, shadows, the brush and the export are done in your browser tab.
What do I download?
PNG keeps transparency. JPG is smaller and has no transparency, so it fits a photo with a backdrop. WebP does both and is the smallest. Pick full size, 2048 px or 1080 px.
